Mine has always burnt oil i estimate at least a pint in 5k! At the moment i only use it for short runs and it seems to burn even more now!!!!!!

Two mates have Picasso's with the same engine one with 35k the other with 95k neither burn any oil - not a drop????????

May well be something connected to using the wrong oils.
The correct grade is 5/30 and it must conform to PSA spec:
B71 2290
The correct oil is here:
http://total-gbr.lubricantadvisor.com/Cu...1.2009.pdf

Halfords markets one suitable oil as does Comma and quite a few other makers.

Thing is Comma spec 5/40 for my berlingo because it does not have a particulate filter.

AH! Yes....the superior Berlingo. I have an early '06 which is also DPF/FAP free!

Do you still run 5/30 though?

Yeah! The trade price difference between Ineo and 9000 is negligible, I think the Ineo also helps
the engine a bit cleaner than the heavier alternative. I don't have oil consumption problem, it never
uses oil between the 6000 mile changes.

Cheapest I can find the Comma 5/30, delivered is here:

http://www.demonoils.co.uk/index.php/com...il-5l.html

Which is only £4.80 cheaper than I can get Total Ineo ECS, delivered.
