Hello

Thumbs Up
Hello to all, my name is Rob. I Have had a good read around the forum and it looks really good. I will be doing a full service on my friend's 2003 Berlingo Mk2 Desire 2.0 HDI - (Multispace?) And a small list of other jobs Confusedtudy:

Have already done the fluids and filters and fixed intermittent false overheating problem - (Green temperature sensor caused radiator fan to cut in and temp gauge to go to top when engine was cold - or any other temperature come to that!) I guess this could be a common fault with them.

My friend has asked me if I can replace the timing belt (approaching 70k Mileage) I have put off giving him an answer until I find out what kind of job it is! It doesn't seem too hard after having a good read up - famous last words, I plan to replace the water pump and aux belt at same time and of course the timing belt tensioner and idler as he plans to keep it for a while yet.

Would most of you agree that it's not too bad a job for someone who has done a few on different vehicles over the years and has a reasonable set of tools and skills?
I'm not a pro mechanic but have always looked after my own cars - mainly old 80's and 90's Vauxhalls and Fords  hope they are not swear words on here!

Any advice very welcome and thanks for having me Confusedalut:
