2014 reg XTR seat replacement
#1
Hi folks,

My retired racing greyhound took a fancy to the front passenger seat and chewed a fair portion of it. Main dealer want over £300 to repair so my options are take it to a trimmer or get a seat from a scrapper.

I'm a bit of a duffer mechanical wise. Is it easy to bolt the old seat out and bolt the new one in? There are what look like hexagonal headed bolts which require an alan key or similar but also some strange looking "squashed nuts" (ouch). Also there's a side airbag which must have sensor/electrical components.

Is replacing a seat a job for a novice?

Thanks in advance.

Other things intervened but I'm going to try to sort this now.

How do I ensure a replacement seat from an online scrapper is the right colour? The car is "shark grey" but the trim is described only as "matching".. Anyone know whether Citroen did more than one colour seats per car colour? I could ask for a photo I suppose but the camera does lie.

Cheers

My XTR is also a 64 reg so should be as you say. I'll check.

Thanks.
