good point Steve if carrying weight and on a van think they should be commercially rated alloys, and they cost.

ive just put 1995 pug 306 xsi alloys with 195/50/15 on 2001 berlingo van no problem, got 4 wheels and 4 nearly new tyres and the all important alloy wheel nuts for £40 off ebay, does ever so slightly rub against bottom of the plastic rear arch liner at the back end on full load so trimmed it of a bit, no spacers were needed. hope this may help

I have steel wheels with 195/55/15 tyres on my 2002 mk1 van and it hasn't yet rubbed, I've had maybe half a tonne in it as well, perhaps your rear suspension is tired? How much weight did you have in the van when it rubbed?
