Thirty thou new is pretty stiff! Not saying it's not worth the money but you'd want to make sure of getting good value from it while depreciation fell in your favour. I'm sure the canny people among us would simply become travelling graphic artists (studying by correspondence) and thus the travel, equipment etc would all be deductible against your income.
