It sounds like the pin going through the clutch peddle as broken or some thing as come loose have you had a good look in the foot well up at the peddle and moved it side ways left to right

I have taken a look, and also a mechanic had a look, inside the car where the pedals are. Neither he or myself noticed anything special. Then again, he used a bad flashlight, and so did I, so maybe I should have another look, and try the sideways thing you say. And neither of us looked while pedal was pressed, as there is not enough space.
Also, comment to the video: as you notice, if I press the pedal slowly, there is less of a chance that there will be a noise.

hope you find out what it is, worth getting a good cit mechanic to have a look, mines been doing birlingos for over 30 years.

Ouch, that sounds scary, and expensive! The clutch pedal does retract after, at least most of the times. Maybe sometimes the pedal doesn't retract, and I have to manually pull it back with my foot.
The thing is , I had this before, on the same car, or at least I think i had. But that is a long time ago now, at least a year and a half, and it vanished by itself. Or maybe not by itself, but at the same time as the metal spring near the pedal that helps the pedal with something broke. I have not replaced it after.
I have been feeling recently like the gears are more quirky, and maybe I shouldnt drive the car anymore until I find out what's wrong, as it could end up snowballing
