Do you think this will work on a Mk2 Bingo?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DB-Electronics%C...181&sr=8-9
It doesn't say Lexia and I know my code reader (bought for a Seat Alhambra) which is supposed to be ODB2 compliant doesn't work.

Doesn't say Lexia because it isn't Lexia, it is only a code reader, may or may not be able to read fault codes but you won't be able to alter settings on the ECU with it even if it does read....

Diesels might be different?
Looks like it might be worth a try. It's the sort of money I was hoping to spend. I don't need something that will alter ECU settings.

I have written elsewhere on forum about the same thing.
I had the very-bastard of a job when a mate of mine who has a breifcase full of code readers could only get one of his armoury to talk to the motor (2004 2.0HDI) The only one that was succesful was Memoscan CAN OBDII u581... but that was 18mths ago and things may have moved on since then.
Sorry chaps, I was going to buy one of my own and do a write-up etc but events overtook me and I blew my pennies on fishing tackle instead....
