Fuel line leak
#1
I clipped the metal plate section of my 2.0hdi fuel line. It's leaking somewhere on the metal plate section.

Questions are,

If I use a clamp on the soft sections of the fuel line are they likely to split. If so what's the best way to stop the in line fuel from leaving the system.

I've also bent the two arms which hold this plate/tray. They look like a ball ach to replace. Any one have any experience of this?

Thanks.

A dodge that I've used previously where a soft pipe is connected to a plastic union is to use a couple
of nylon zip ties on each joint, one as close as you can get to the end of the hose and the other near to the end
of the union, say half an inch back from the first. That way the force is minimal and it may well work in your case.

It's the fuel cooler I've damaged. Does it really need it? I've never heard of a need to cool diesel....

Or could I replace it with a straight pipe?
