Funny how I keep finding them cheap in Wales, that's where I got mine.

The forestry commission one will be an xtr, great for rough terrain, but if buying one of these look at the back wheels from a few meters back and
check that they are not splaying out wards (looks like a piano has been dropped on it) as you'll end up getting a new rear beam for it. illyme:

Thanks again, I saw the Multispace in Corwen Wales but that went a while ago and just missed one in south wales. I think the 2.0 Multispace is the way to go as it covers all bases for me but the ones I seem to find on adtrader & ebay classifieds are a bit too beat up for the £2-2.5K price tag. I guess patience is needed.

I think patience is the key. I have only owned my 1.6 hdi for a week so cant comment on reliability although is seems to be in great order.

I searched for a long time to get one with low miles, service history and no rust, i sucseeded in finding one with 61000, service history and no rust. 56 reg for £2300.

Before this i must have viewed 20 others and almost bought a few of them, but im now glad i didnt.

I eventually purchased a 2005 plate 2.0HDi Multispace Desire with 150K on the clock with full MOT and 9 months tax (£1500) that seems in really good condition considereing the mileage. So far so good. Now contemplating removing the seats to do a mini motorhome conversion
