Insurance - what company is best
#1
OOOooo, I'm the first in this section.

Any recommendations for helpful insurance companies ?

My family car ins co don't insure vans, my classic car ins co (who do moderns as well) want £400+ for TPF&T.

I'm an over 50 geezer with no previous. They're all having a laugh !

sorry, it said $400 for some reason, threw me a little.

eVan Insurance are OK, but the e-part means that you should expect an 090 number if anything goes wrong and you want to speak to someone!

I will put some more up from my past companies, will dig some out.

I think mine was abour £330.00 but that was from a specialist insurer as they couldn't decided if it was a car or a van!

Hi, Guys. What is TPF&T?

TPF&T is third party fire n theft. When I were a lad it was half the price of fully comp. Now for some absurd reason its usually more ??

Anyway, thanks for the help, I've had a ring round and the best so far is from Lewis, Martin and Tollgate who seem to do specialised motor policies.

Current best price about £250 !! Result. Their tel. 01283 216852.

Hello Colin, yes I too fall into the over 50's bracket. Us, or should that be we, old farts with Berlingos have to stick together TongueTongueTongueBig GrinBig Grin

I remember when it was traditional to go from one insurance broker's office to another to get the best quote, none of this online nonsense and we didn't even posses a phone in the house, mobiles were a pain-in-the-arse that had not even been invented back then and Citroen 2CVs were still available new from dealers... you young ones have never lived.....
