Mk1 and the mk2 multispace...parts Interchangability.
#1
I bought a neglected and abused berlingo multispace at a bargain price and have been spending the last month getting it up to M.O.T level, given it a cut and polish and its shining like a new penny. The only thing letting down the overall exterior look Is the nearside sliding door has a whacking great dent in it, otherwise it looks lovely.

The other day I happened to notice a mk2 at my local french car breakers that'd been well and truly through the wars, it had clearly spun around bouncing off a few things along the way and ended up on its roof, every panel and window was F**ked apart from the n.s sliding door, which looked in showroom condition, and it was in my colour Big Grin.

I'd be interested to know what are the differences between the mk1 and mk2? more bodywise than anything but any other info would be interesting too...

I.e are the sliding doors the same? will the load cover from the mk2 fit my mk1?

Cheers

You know.... I have a feeling that they may well be.
When Citroen did the Mk1 to Mk.2 facelift they seemed to have
concentrated their efforts at the front end and the internal trim.
Addo or rustscrat or one of the other gurus here will know for sure

Think the Mk2 has multiplexed wiring that the mk1 didn't (?). if you are only swopping doors, probably not a problem,

We own a MK1 and a MK2 and the doors look identical.

No Ron, not a Capitalist, we needed a car to replace the Wife's 17 year old AX Spree and the second Berlingo came along and at a price that was very good so now we've got a MK1 called Bernie and a more recent MK2 called Betty

Lol! If you own two Berlingos I guess that makes you practically an investment banker round here! That chap who also owns a nice Range Rover better keep his head down... ;-)

Isn't "investment banker", rhyming slang? Or is that merchant banker?

Suppose with a fleet now (theoretically) numbering thirteen, I am a tycoon by the Book of Ron.
