Santa Pod pictures
#1
Having not long returned from a (fairly) successful end of season National Finals I thought I would share a couple of pictures of the Berlingo and Race Car sharing a quiet moment together...
Don't think the 9.3 ltr Chevy V8 would fit under the Berlingo bonnet.
Then again, don't think Vauxhall designed it to fit in their Mk1 Cavalier! But it does...
Two weeks previous were the European Finals where we managed to shatter the entire gearbox casing on the first day. Sometimes a 1,000+ bhp is not a good idea for a gearbox.
See what happens in 2012.

Oh, and a quick picture of Miffy the rabbit looking for the bonnet catch.
Made me smile.

Looks like a top show Martin, never been to an event like this but judging from what you have shown us, looks amazing .

Overloads all your senses.
Video for you to watch at your leisure, but you REALLY have to be there....

Mickey Thompson drag racing slicks, Womble.
About £300 a piece.
But we only race in the dry.
Watch the video (about 3/4 the way through) yes, that really was 4.5 seconds @ 320mph!

Done my own compilation on YouTube of video I have shot myself in the last 12 months. (It's not brilliant, cheap camera, and I'm no expert.) Worth a look. Sorry no Berlingos.
Have a look at the tyres on our car at 3mins 55sec.

Apologies for "off thread".

Stick it in the back then. All that weight over the rear wheels. You'd end up with a real Funny Car. And it'd stand out rather. Just a shame that the aerodynamics would mean you'd be a lot slower than your Cavalier.

Just got to add, how on EARTH do you get to 320 mph from a standing start in 1/4 mile? That's quicker than a catapult-launched jet.

Cavalier not especially aerodynamic.
The only Citroen drag car I have seen belongs to Bernard Saz.
