right, lets settled then, nothing going on those roof bars and try to look out for some for the summer. thanks jeffers.
can someone take a look at these and tell me if they will fit mine?
it says for 2008 onwards but i just want to check.
if they do fit my 53 plate and you buy them i will send the heavies around:-)
if they do fit i`m hoping they will stay at 99p!!
I would agree with the others here, and not use the integrated modutop bars at all, but instead go for a two or three bar set-up that attaches to the body mounting points.
If the eBay ad is talking about "2008 onwards" than they are likely to be for a mk3 Berlingo and so will not fit yours.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
Hi mate. I carry my kayak (Winner Purity) and my mates kayak (Winner Velocity) on my roof racks fitted to my Berlingo van and have not had any major issues...... I must admit though that I don't travel far with them both on top, just to the beach and back.......
Just had a look at the weight of the two kayaks and mine is 20kg and my mates is 25kg and I think the maximum advised weight for roof racks is around 30 - 35kg
Also I use 3 roof racks instead of two and tend to use my ladder-stays to keep them securely fastened to the bars.
I hope I'm not waffling on too much mate! To sum up I would suggest that you don't risk taking them both on long journeys but just down the road should be ok!!!!!....... Also make sure that when they're on top they're fastened down well because your bars are likely to come loose if wind gets under the yaks and makes them 'whap around.
Hope this helps dude, happy paddling mate
Hi Lloydyboy the Modutop bars are entirely different to those on a van which are mounted direct to the body.
The Older I get the Better I Was!
Hi Ol'Jeffers! Call me thick if you like mate but are the Modutop bars the ones that are factory fitted, the ones that run the length of the vehicle from front to back?.... If so I aint got a clue how you'd secure any load to them safely, let alone two kayaks!!!

The Modutop bars can be turned easily to cross the roof.
