starter motor and battery 1.9D
#1
Hi Guys, My mates car is struggling to start in the morning ( mainly cold weather). It turns over quite slowly during the colder mornings. I recommended replacing the battery and starter motor (any other suggestions appreciated)
Looking on Euro car parts and GSF quite a few batteries and starter motors are listed.
Please can anyone help? Its a 55 plate berlingo van 1.9 diesel.

Cheers Chris.

Start with the cheap options first check and clean terminal clamps and cables to the starter motor also earth straps are good nick to. Get battery load tested to see if its any good or on the way out.
Check glow plug operation to see if they are working properly. Plenty on the site covering these topics.
Are we there yet????? No we fecking ain`t  gggggrrrrrrr
