Just been to look at a nice gold Berlingo with full sunroof, and following on from my central locking question...

The "Stop" light came on during test drive- is this a serious worry? Having searched forum think it's either a door microswitch issue or low brake fluid- didn't get to see if any fluid leaking on test drive but brakes felt OK.

Advice or opinions would be appreciated, hopefully will work out fine and I'll bid on it and win!

Thanks
I would check brake fluid & coolant.Check coolant for oil contamination.
To be honest with warning lights on I would leave it alone and look elsewhere.
You could borrow a code reader and see if any errors have been stored in the ECU. The socket is on the fuse panel near the drivers right hand knee, behind the panel. Two rotating clips at the top to open it.
