Hi

Are there any implications of driving with my MAF disconnected?

The car has been running terribly for quite some time, maybe 6 months. The main symptom was that at low RPM the car would feel like it was massively restricted, it felt like a small, naturally aspirated diesel. Since disconnecting the MAF yesterday it's like a different car, pulling strongly at low revs and actually feels like a nippy car!

Anyway, I can't get hold of a MAF until next week and I have a 120 mile journey to do at the end of the week and want to make sure that I won't be damaging anything. Thanks.
You will be fine the vehicle will just run on a restricted map but as you say its better than running with a defective MAF.
Thank you.
You are welcome cha1n - when you replace the MAF make sure you get a good one e.g. From GSF they are a bit more money but the cheap ones are known to fail within a few months.
