Hi everyone,
I want to find out if my 2004 Berlingo can have cruise control retrofitted. I tried the local auto-electrician who didn't seem massively motivated to have a look for me (he gave me the impression that as he'd never done it it wasn't worth his while researching it), can anyone recommend anyone in the Bath area?
If need be, I'm willing to buy the part second hand and then sell it on if it can't be fitted.

It is not possible on 1.9D engines with cable operatred injection pump.
If you have 2.0HDI, it is possible (in most cases, pre 2007 models). You should buy and install a cruise control stick P/N 6242Z9, and then make two settings changes with Lexia:
1.
Go to Global test- BSI - configuraton-manual configuration-witout data.
configuration - cruise control option : change from "missing" to "present". Press F1 to update.
2. Go back to main screen.
injection-diesel engine-engine code (RHY)- configuration--without data-manual configuration-cruise control - change from "absent" to "present"- F1 to update.
The cruise control will work only at fourth and fifth gear, the speed should be above 30 mph.
I'm dont shure about petrol versions, but if they equipped with cablel operated throttle - no chance.

I have the 2.0 HDI diesel, I have checked for the switch off the clutch pedal as another thread on here suggested, and I'm pretty sure it's there.
The ECU uses clutch pedal sensor for two things:
1. To switch cruise control OFF when clutch pedal depressed.
2. To reduce engine torque and prevent damadge to the clutch during a gear shift.
Had an issue at the first hurdle today, found a chap locally with a copy of Lexia but for some reason it wouldn't talk to the car. Not sure if RPO was incorrect as I entered a dud number to check I had the correct number and it didn't return an error. So will need to retry sometime.

I successfully fitted CC to my May 2005 M59 Multispace 2.0 HDi. The instructions from buki are spot on. It seems a bit complicated but it's quite straightforward really. In my case I bought the Chinese copy version of Lexia, running on Windows XP. Having Lexia also allows me to do other things, like changing the annoying radio timeout from 30 minutes to 3 hours, and changing the multi function display to include miles per gallon etc
I bought the stalk on eBay for £20. It just slots into place. You have to cut out a bit of the shroud but it's easy to do.
One thing I have noticed with my CC - it doesn't like 60mph setting. It lets the speed decay to 50mph, then kicks in at full throttle until 60mph is achieved again. Then the cycle repeats itself. At 55mph and 65mph it works just fine, so I just stay away from setting it at 60mph. Very strange, but no doubt an obvious reason to someone!

The owner of this Lexia software has used it on his own vehicles before, so it should work.
Plugged in to port by fuse box, ignition on, selected Citroen, Berlingo, Berlingo 2, entered RPO and VIN. Menus loaded and found global test, this asked us to turn ignition off then on but we couldn't get any further than this :-(

We couldn't get Lexia to work, but in the end Avalon in Glasto offered to have a look - all sorted in no time at all :-)
Reasonable charge too IMO (£60 which included them clearing out a few fault codes for me), the dealer (stealer) in Bath wanted £120 just to look at it!
for rpo number just put 99999, it wont make any odds to what the pc will or wont do or talk to, dealers always put 9999 until it went to newer than that
as for cruise on a mk2 van, be careful as clocks have to be cruise enabled aswell yet some arent capable
