Full Version: water pump/timing/fuel pump

if i have turned my 2000 x reg van over with the water pump froze
would it knock the timing out therfor not turning my fuel pump
therfor not puttin fuel into my injectors thats why it wont start?

Hi , It is possible that if the water pump was frozen solid, the resistance on the cambelt could cause it to either rip the teeth off at the bottom pulley, which woud not be good, or if you had a good belt it would turn the water pump round and perhaps make the impeler inside spin, some are plastic. best thing to do is take the top cover off the cambelt housing and have a look and see if its tight, perhap turn the engine over by hand on the crankshaft pulley, good luck.:wave:
sorted the van as i had taken off the anti tamper and cut the imobileser out, i had turned the fueling screw after messing with this and a bit of easy start it fired !!
