Hi guys, need help again!

Just got my wonderful Billy Berlingo Mk3 and hubby says he can smell something like diesel exhaust fumes in the passenger side. I can't smell anything in the drivers side. He seemed to think it could be the pollen filter, which he thinks should have been replaced in the service.
So
1) Could the smell be the pollen filter
2) Should the pollen filter be replaced at service (or how often should be replaced)

and before you say.....yes, I've had a shower, no the dogs haven't dropped one and I have a brand new air fresher in lol.

Thanks for your help guys.
If it's pulling fumes in through the vent from under the bonnet the pollen filter will not stop it from smelling. Have you run the aircon for any length of time, how many miles has the car done ? If it smells under the bonnet it could be the injector seals/fire rings need replacing.
......plus take a look for any diesel leakage under the bonnet.
Pollen filter is replaced annually
You can look the condition of the polen filter. I change it every 6 months.
