Could anyone tell me if my fuel pump from my r reg 1.8 berlingo is coded or isit plug and play?
Any one atall on here that could answer this question as I'm desperate to get my van going again and while the pump is still on ebay, are the lucas dcp052 pump coded from an r reg 1.8 diesel (97)
Coded pumps new one to me but then again I come from a 306 back ground. I have an s reg 1.9nad il be swooping to a bosch ve pump off a 306 il simply be just wiring a switched power feed of the Lucas connector to the stop solenoid and away you go. That's what iv done Half a dozen times now on 306's my nads no different
There are five pumps listed for a 1.8 diesel, three are uncoded, two are coded.

Is yours an armoured type?

Also, have you talked to any of the diesel pump refurbishers? They might be able to shed light on what your options are.
Yes my pump had the armoured cover on it, found a pump on eBay for 70 quid I'm happy to buy that as I'm desperate but just hope its plug and play the pump on eBay has the same dcp 052 and the part number is the same part from the 2nd last digit do you know if it will do as its fro same age of van, spoke to specialist but he told me he'd need to get it in an striped before he could tell me my options
I can't say; if yours is armoured then it's coded so you have at least a 50% chance of it being right.
I emailed the guy and asked if it would fit he said yes an also a mate of mine do sum research and e was led to believe it was the ecu if not the solenoid and u could by pass it with a Delphi solenoid with love feed straight to ignition would this be correct?
