I got a kit from eBay for my mk1 van, it was £20.
Took a couple of hours to fit and has worked flawlessly for over 7 years!
Can't remember the name of the kit. I'll have a look see if I can find a similar one.

i already have central locking so only needed the remote locking part

Ah, I didn't read your post correctly. I added remote central locking to my van where no central locking existed. It was a two wire job, ignore everything I've posted prior to this and call me an idiot alut:

i was kinda hoping for a 2 wire jobby, 1 to unlock and 1 to lock, not the case though lol

I'm surprised the BSI and Comms units can't be configured to accept a remote plip.
