can you change just the mirror cap, or is it all in one?

Have a look on EBay and search for 'berlingo mirror cover' quite varied sorts and prices on there.
If you go this way I would use a silicon adhesive rather that rely on the sticky tape to fix it.

so they don't clip on they're stuck on?
