fuel problems?
#1
hi all , can anybody advise ? i have recently bought a2003 multispace with 46000 miles (diesel) i sometimes experience a loss in power at about 65mph
also when the fuel gauge reaches a 1/4 full i experience "pulling" as if i,m running out of petrol as soon as i top up with fuel the problem goes .
i have come to the conclusion that the fuel gauge is not calibrated correctly !! although this would not account for the loss of power . any comments /advise would be gratefully received cheers bob

The first thing that I would check is the fuel filter ( just fit a new one ).
Which engine do you have?

PS It would be nice if you could put a short post in the 'Introductions' forum.....

Did that solve the issue bob?

Not rocket science, but one way to check your fuel gauge would be to fill it to the max; our fuel gauge (on multiple berlingos) would go above the full mark, and hence when it was empty, it looked like it had about £5 left in it.
