Does anyone know exactly where Eurolites go on the MK3 Berlingo?

Citroen say they are not needed as the beam is flat. Not on my Berlingo according to the light patten on my garage door!

I could try just holding bits up to the headlight and see what difference it makes to the pattern but if an one knows for sure, that would be great.

I have wondered about this myself, especially since someone several months ago said that they had a letter from Citroen stating that they were not required on the Mk3. There was a feature in our weekend paper's Motoring section last week giving the legal requirements for the main countries in Europe. I think they said that beam deflectors were a legal requirement everywhere in Europe and certainly in France. I'd be wary of relying on a letter from Citroen if faced with a zealous French traffic officer itching to issue an on the spot fine. I suppose if it makes so little difference, you could slap them on almost anywhere and no-one would know

Exactly - no-one would give a second glance as long as they were on there .
So long as they dont have an impact on YOUR vision just stick them on.
Try trial positions first with small blobs of blu tack to get a rough idea on the garage door.

I guess I should look elsewhere on the forum, but I'm about to investigate this for our MK2.

As mentioned, I have a letter from Citroen stating that benders are not required on mk3 Berlingo headlamps. I drive on unlit French roads & oncoming traffic does not flash me up so I guess there is no dazzle. The dipped beams are symetrical with 2 points of light that go left. These points do not dazzle when driving on right as these points are directed along surface of road below eye level.

There is no legal requirement to have anything stuck on your headlights abroad, all you should not do is dazzle oncoming motorists. I would think it is an urban myth that anybody has got nicked in France just for having nothing stuck to their headlamps. Selling deflectors that must cost pennies to produce for 7quid is good business & others recommend black tape which can seriously reduce lighting on unlit roads.

The good reason for not putting stickers on modern plastic headlamp lenses is that prolonged use with headlights on will cause a hotspot on the lens that can cause hairline cracking & often the glue used bakes on & removal is only possible with strong solvent that should not be used on plastic.

We have headlamp protectors on our Mk2 and the deflectors are stuck to them, without them our lights definitely kick up a bit and dazzle oncoming traffic in Europe.

I bought the protectors from a Peugeot dealer as they were cheaper than Citroen

Mk.II needs deflectors. :thumbsup:

In France, at least, I think that as they are so common they create no
passing attention and I'll bet there's plenty of French ones running
around with badly adjusted lights. ( A bit like Escorts and Fiestas/Corsas over here!)
I would just ensure that the dip beam is adjusted fairly low.
