I've got a pre-facelift 2002 multispace.
My key-fob buttons have disintegrated so I've bought a new case (ebay) and transferred all the internal bits over, except for the key-blade itself: I can't see how to get it out of the casing! The new casing has a small hole at 90 degrees to the blade hole, so I assume that the blade must also have a hole in it and this is for a pin to hold the key blade in place. This doesn't help much though because the old fob is different there: no hole or pin; just what looks like solid plastic, which appears to be part of the fob casing. So does anyone know how I get the one blade out?: Do I have to destroy the old casing around it? Thanks

You would have been better off going to your local Citroen dealer and getting a new key programmed for your vehicle, its easier and less hassle.

Hi there, I recently found my key was getting a little worn and I had to fiddle about before it would turn. I purchased a blank off ebay, item number: 130694748554 then took it to our local key cutters and had it cut from my wife's good key. Then just had to transplant the guts from old Key not forgetting the transponder chip. Works great and total cost just £8.30. Hope this helps. Dave.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I have already bought a key-fob case that looks exactly the same as the one you refer to but mine had no key-blade attached. I have swapped all the internal bits over without any problem but I can not see how to get the key-blade out. It's obvious how it goes in the new one, (as it's the same as in the lower picture in that ebay listing, but with the screw missing), but the old one is different: it has no hole for a screw. So how is it held in? More importantly, how can I remove it without damaging it? Also, as it's different, will it fit in my new casing?

Hi, to be honest one of the reasons I bought the fob with the blade already fitted was because I too could see no way of removing the old blade. I think even if you did get it out I doubt it would fit the new fob properly. It looks like you would damage the old fob getting it out. It just seemed simpler to buy the fob with the blade fitted and get it cut as it wasn't expensive. Sorry I can't offer better advice but that was my experience. Dave

Hi. No, it's a fixed 2-button fob, like item number 110954346365 on ebay. Externally it looks exactly the same (apart from having chevrons on the buttons). Internally (see the second picture on the ebay listing) it's all the same except that it hasn't got the hole for the screw that holds the key-blade in, and that rectangular part of the casing (around where the blade fits in) is slightly bigger.
