Rear Calliper

Went out to work last night and had just finished 1st job and a peeping sound but no warning lights, it went off after a few seconds so I thought a door was not closed, checked them and were all ok. Sat for about 10mins then got 2nd job of the evening and then peeping sound again and STOP light comes on intermittent. 5 mins later peeping, STOP light and brake warning light stay on. I dropped off customer and then checked the brake fluid, it was empty!
This afternoon I jacked up the car and noticed its leaking from the off side rear calliper.
Im hoping £150 will fix it.

Don't take it to a Main Dealer then! They'll charge you that to change the brake fluid!
Sounds like calipers died. May be the brake was binding and the excess heat damaged the seals.

Funny you should say that I could smell a burning a few nights ago.
I'm taking it to my mates garage Citroen Glasgow now charge just to look at a problem £44!

If it's just seals, shouldn't be too hard to sort. Was it leaking from the butt end or around the pads?

It's a fairly old-school caliper by the looks of it (I checked out the Budweg exchange units). What I've found often happens to PSA rear calipers is the piston or bore corrodes behind the dust boot, ahead of the square section seal - this jams the piston in nice and tight. Then you put an uncommonly heavy load in the back and it opens the compensating valve; application of hard braking pushes the piston out just enough to work, but it doesn't retract. The "dead leg" of water-filled brake fluid then boils as it's blocked against returning by the load compensator and/or a collapsed flex hose, either pushing the brake pad on harder or blowing out the handbrake lever seals.

On some calipers, winding back the piston without cracking the bleeder, similarly blows out the handbrake seals - Xantias are good for this.
