We got bills... (Things you might want to check)
#1
Put the Berlingo in for brake fluid and pads change and asked my mechanic to check it over thoroughly as I'll likely have a 2000 mile road trip in the summer with a trailer.

It is a 1.9D 54 plate and has done 124500 miles so I thought it might be worth sharing the findings so others can check to see if their Berlingo needs the same.

- Radiator bulging at the side - replaced
- Master cylinder worn (He could not get the brakes to breed properly) - To be replaced on Monday, no time to source and fit on a Friday
- Both rear brake cylinders slightly leaking - replaced
- Ball joints worn (I could hear knocking) - replaced

So if yours is of a similar age/mileage it may be worth checking these items.

I don't mind as apart from regular servicing it's needed NOTHING else since I bought it in November 2011. I'm glad these items were identified in time to fix!

On Thursday I was lucky(!) enough to get a screw through the side wall of a year old tyre on the back, another £64 I could have done without spending...still had 6mm tread on it Sad

Let's hope that's your last big spend for a while.Scrapping a tyre with 6mm would reduce me to tears & looking for a crowbar to open my wallet.:brickwall::whistle:

My radiator went a month or two back. Bulging at the side just like yours. I got one from ECP or Carparts4less for £50 or so. Fortunately they're a doddle to change on these cars, less than an hours work.
