Anyone tried it?? Is it worth 9p a Ltr more than supermarket diesel?? Does it do what they say??.on my 2 and tank now,but I'm still getting diesel knock.but it does seem to idle better.any thoughts on this. Cheers..

We stick to Sainsburys in the 'Lingo, but I use branded (usually Gulf or Esso) in the 330d. I tried a tank of V-Power in the 330d at Christmas and I was underwhelmed. I felt there was a more noticeable difference when I went from Sainsburys to branded regular.

Millers diesel plus/sport or whatever it's called will get rid of your diesel knock. V Power is alright but it's not going to make any real difference in what's basically an agricultural engine. You'll also find that diesel knock will be more apparent this time of year until the refineries start putting wax additive back in the fuel once the temperatures rise.

What's the wax then??.I didn't know this.thanks for the info..so when it gets warmer the diesel knock will go?.it seems a bit less when weathers warmer..

It's a wax additive put in diesel for all intensive purposes. In cold weather it can harden up essentially and then fuel wouldn't flow. There are products out there where you can add it back. I know I harp on about BG products and they make an additive which adds the wax and adds the sulphur back in the fuel but for diesel knock I know the millers works.

Millers is the stuff to go for I use it all the time you will not have to worry about the fuel waxing up it's need's to be below -6 for some time for that to happen and with the millers it will be lower than that the return fuel form the pump to the tank will be warmer .

Another thumbs-up for Millers.  I use it all the time in the 330d.  But it's pointless trying to coerce Wor Lass to use it in the 'Lingo.   Her reaction would be "it goes perfectly well on the diesel I put in, so why faff about?"!

my isuzu trooper loves vpower diesel fuel. goes like a nutter. if i use ordinary fuel i add millers.
as for the berlingo, i haven't put vpower in yet. but I have put in shell fuel and millers additive and the difference in car is noticeable.
more responsive and quieter on tickover. not had the car long, but I think the previous owner used supermarket fuel and that made the car more lethargic.

Im going to add something here. In my last house my neighbour was a sort of chemist for millers. she gave me a sample of the stuff seeing i drove for a living and had an isuzu. and, of course, wanted to promote her company product. i was converted !
and! where I work now i work with someone who races old cars and who's son is an up and coming motor bike racer who works for a company that re builds engines and knows everything thats present, and the big thing is, supermarket fuel! its cheap for one reason. Its crap!
why would you spend X amount of money on a car and then put cheap fuel it??
as for older cars, the cheap fuel kills them. 

millers kinda of helps bridge that problem and for the guys like me running cars that or 25 years plus, millers help no end!

You pay for what you get. 
where i live now my neighbour bought a beautiful bmw and was never satisfied with how it ran. (diesel) it never started without a struggle.I  asked where he fueled up and was given the usual reply, "morrisons." to which i replied, " you have spent all that money on an expensive car and you put cheap fuel in it!?" 
2 tanks of bp fuel later and the car and his driving experience was converted! 
and his mpg changed as well. it went up. by a massive 10mpg!! and starts no problems. he is converted.

I dont work for millers or bp. or even shell. 

I drive for a living and fuel consumption is a major factor in my pay packet. however, if the fuel i put  in my truck isnt doing its job, im not doing mine! and I dont  get my bonus! 

bit of a rant, but i feel that the average  motorist is being sold a lemon in cheap supermarket fuel.
