bottom tensioner - johntychwith - 11-05-2015 Hi ive been told a whining noise which sounds like ive got a 50cc under the bonnet is the lower fan belt tensioner and is a common fault . Can anyone confirm this? Doesnt whine when idling only when revving up. If it is the tensioner can someeone send me a link on where i can buy one and what exactly this tensioner is called / looks like. You can then compare , if in doubt take it off and try a local motor factors. Or it may be the alternator/ ac compressor /power steering pump making the noise but the tensioners are normally guilty. |
