Berlingo Multispace Seats - Pette Robert Holt - 10-06-2015 I have just purchased my first Belringo Multispace...and I am well impressed with this 04 2.0HDI. I want it to use for generall all round use including camping tours. For this purpose I have purchased an Amdro type camping box which unfolds to make a double bed area in the back. The problem I am having is that the front seats need to fold forward for me to get the bed to open full and utilise the seats as a base for the plywood bed board. It would seem that the Berlingo seats do not fold forward much more than 90 degrees. Can I ask if any one knows if the seats could be made to fold more or can I fit seats from the Pug direct into a Berlingo Multispace etc? Any help would be much appreciated so I can get my Berlingo out for a camp. Regards Pete RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - twink - 11-06-2015 I've read on here that the 306 seat can be made to fit so if you fitted ones out of a 3 door then they would lean forward. but im also only a newbie so im sure someone will be along who knows for sure. search for 306 seats in the search box and it should bring up the thread RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - tucker - 11-06-2015 I think it's designed to fit by pulling the seats forward on the runners then adjusting them as far as the back goes. Have you looked at the Youtube video of it being put in and set up? RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - Sepulnation - 17-06-2015 Hi Pette, I have an 06 Berlingo and an Amdro boot jump, ring the guys at Amdro if you purchased one as they are very helpful. You need to make some minor adjustments to the front seats. You need a hacksaw to cut a small section of the metal on either side of the seats near the part you turn to lean the seats forward or backwards. If you look, this is what is restricting the seat from folding forward anyfurther. I cut a small section under an inch either side of each side. Tidy up the cut with some sort of file. I had to make this minor alteration myself. Its a bit of a fiddly job but works great once you do it. A useful tip I discovered half way through was that the seat covers at the side can be released a bit to give better access to make the cut, wish I was aware of that at the start, it would have saved a lot of time and swearing at inanimate objects! Hope this helps you out. Regards, Sepulnation RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - Diarmaid - 02-08-2015 (17-06-2015, 06:47 PM)Sepulnation Wrote: Hi Pette, Hi there, I've just had a similar problem. I bought a second hand Amdro but when it came to fit it to my 2006 berlingo Desire, the bed would just not fold out fully. Do you have photos of the cut out sections of seat, so I can get an idea what you mean? Was hoping a hacksaw wouldn't be necessary, but it looks like it might have to be! Many thanks RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - bikergraham - 02-08-2015 Just for interest i have a 2002 Multispace ,the drivers seat had collapsed so i purchased on ebay a pair of seats from a 2008 Berlingo van.I had to use the original seat sliders and the seat belt pretensioners but managed to make some brackets and get them fitted, wow what a differance not only are they very comfortable and supportive but they fold down completely flat so increasing the amount of useable storage room in the car, great when i remove the back seats completely.I also have the use of the "office space" on the rear of the passenger seat, very usefull as i use the car for my work.Beware though that the original seats are secured to the sides of the body and the new seats are secured to the base so brackets have to be fabricated,so i do presume that you would be able to fit any seats from any vehicle assuming the size of them is not too big ! RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - Mrleadfoot - 09-08-2015 Any more news on what to cut where? RE: Berlingo Multispace Seats - Pette Robert Holt - 11-08-2015 the notion of cutting a piece of metal out seems good to me...but a photo of your cut would be a lovely help. Pete |
