Hi all,
well i have been a beringo owner for a few weeks and have got a big problem.
after travelling for a couple of miles i get a loud squeaking sound from the nearside front wheel, it happens when turning and on a rough road, sounds like a rubber to rubber sound.
Just for a laugh i took it into kwikfit and they said it was the offside bearing has slight play.
could anybody please help??

Its not the wheel bearing that is making the noise. The noise is from the engine bay, it sounds as if the auxiliary belt pulleys/ tensioner or steering pump is making the noise.

Hi, if I open the bonnet it is defo coming from the near side lower suspension area, I have no sound coming from the driver side of the vehicle or pulley system.

Does this ball joint look like it could cause the issue?

Certainly doesn't look very healthy. Does it make the noise when its jacked up (weight off the wheels) make sure its secure on axle stands tho !
Noise sounds quite severe, get someone to operate the steering while you inspect closely.

Thats a strange noise,i would suggest that you have a close look at the strut bearing.Its situated at the top of the shock absorber and can completely fail as they can badly rust ,its out of the way and always forgotten about .Its quite an easy job to do but the strut needs to be removed and you will need a good set of spring compressors .The bearing itself is readily available and should cost no more than £20 - £30. If youve never done one it will pay you to buy a Haynes manual.Best of luck.
