Losing power /juddering - boilermaker1 - 27-01-2016

Hello, I have a 05 1.9 diesel berlingo. Problems started about 6 weeks ago. losing power
juddering, white smoke out of exhaust, rattling noise..
Checked computer no faults. Blanker egr valve and this cured rattling noise, white smoke
and most of the power loss / juddering. 90% cured.
but sometimes still getting power loss / juddering around 2000 revs.
no faults on computer, have put injector cleaner in tank.
Starts fine.
Any suggestions would be great

Have you changed the fuel filter recently? Air in fuel?

Does it start easily when cold? After about 100,000m the valves tend to tighten up & bad cold starting is 1 symptom.

No van starts fine, even in cold

That's what happened to our 2.0hdi and it was the maf sensor, the car would not rev over 2,500. Try disconnecting it and see if it runs better. It's the connector on the pipe after the air filter. It didn't throw any faults up when it was not working or when it was disconnected. A new one cost me about £45.
