Advice needed - Jelevents - 30-03-2016

Hi guys looking to purchase Desire model with modu roof and will need air con for my new dog walking business.
Question is do I go for petrol or diesel, won't be doing huge miles, what's the opinion on problems/maintenance etc, can do most jobs myself
Thanks in advance

If you are not doing huge miles I would have through petrol would be a safer bet.

Less to go wrong and a little bit quieter.

I am sure I have seen some 1.6 petrol Desire models on Autotrader

Petrols are pleasantly cheaper too.

All are very reliable

Thanks for the info guys, am I correct in assuming only the models with the storage/modu roof have the air con vents, as I need these to distribute aid into the rear for the dogs?

Yes.There is a fan sw & vents above the R pass seats.I Found I was better off opening the R side windows to get a better airflow.I carry 3 Labs. Try it & do what suits your dogs best.

One small point, the air-vents in the modutop storage in the M59 Berlingo Desire are not connected to the Air Conditioning. These are simply three air vents connected to a blower unit that is mounted in the modutop, so basically it just sucks in the existing temperature air in the cabin and blows it out in the direction the vents are pointing.

Not all desire models had air-conditioning [it was one of the many options]

As has been pointed out, I think that the fact you can open [on the latches] all four of the rear windows, I always found this more than enough to keep the airflow enough in the back of the vehicle [not carrying dogs but two teenagers who would be the first to whinge if they were too hot   Wink ]
