Stuck in reverse - ytre - 21-02-2012

Hello all
Van was stuck tight in reverse today and had the clutch done about three weeks ago. On closer inspection i noticed that the swivel ball on the selector shaft had slipped from its place and i had to remove two link arms to put it back in.
All gears are fine but the gear stick when in reverse goes too far back in the van and its close to happening again, Is there something that can stop the gear stick going so far back in reverse?

Take it back to whoever done the clutch and complain.
It's clearly a re-assembly/adjustment problem and they are responsible. If they're reasonable they'll put it right at no cost.

Spoke with the guy today and he pointed out that the gearbox link arm bushes are badly worn and need replaced, he admitted taking the box out prob didnt help them but had to be done. he checked all linkage and all was fine, theres no alignment to worry about and all links in proper place. Could be possible wear in gearbox selector, vans got 112,000 on the clock.
