Does anyone have a cruise control stalk (part number 6239nk) for my 2005 Mk2 Berlingo M59, or know where I might find one.

I Googled the part number and found some suppliers. Give it a shot.

I managed to buy a cruise control stalk on eBay, previously fitted to a Peugeot 407. I had no trouble fitting it but had to cut a slot in the steering column shroud (lower) to accommodate it.
Today I took it by appointment to a great Auto Electrician in Bolton who used Lexia 3 to program the unit so it was recognised. Apparently there are a number of areas needing programming including BSI, ECU, Clutch switch, brake switch, and more. All done in less than an hour and now I have cruise control.

Excellent, it def helps on long journeys and average speed camera locations.

I agree. I do a lot of driving in France and it makes it much easier as you can drive just using hands when on the motorways. As you say, it's also useful to make sure you keep your speed within limits. Every car should have it in my view.
