Hi y'all Berlingoers - richurban - 03-06-2012

My Laguna Estate will shortly be retiring to the knackers yard and I vowed not to go down the French road as the Lag was a great car for space but needing a lot of TLC. I recently discovered the ubiquitous Berlingo and am now considering/attempting to buy one. Quite a U-turn.
This forum is enthusiastic & practical and will be potentially useful in the future, I'm sure. All the best, Richard.

I began looking for a 2.0 HDI van with sld thinking I could convert this easily into temporary sleeping quarters as a small mobile home (without the trimmings) and be used to shift computer/video kit when needed. I realise something like a Multispace Forte would be more practical as it would also be used with passengers and allow me to build a temporary sleeping area long the lines of this solution http://www.amdro.co.uk/jump.php

I'm advised a 2.0 HDI 90 is the way to go for performance and this seems sensible as I will be shifting the occasional heavy load. Less than 120K miles is my target for up to £2.5K in showroom condition ... not asking much Smile

Interesting vid, definitely looks on for a diy project, wouldn't be looking forward to sleeping that close to the roof on a hot night, and it's only any good for a party of 2, you could possibly work out an improved layout with the rear seats removed, might suit a Mk3 better, more space.Smile
