hello - dougienisbet - 03-03-2013

After my Xantia fell apart I moved to a MK3 Berlingo. The built-in gazebo, economy and flexibility grabbed my attention. A flexible and versatile vehicle for commuting and great for bikes and running.

During one run I thought I'd lost a keyfob, so I ordered another one. £183!. The garage programmed it and all is well. I'm back to two keyfobs. And guess what, the 'lost' keyfob turned up. Great! That's three keyfobs - now I have another spare. Except that it no longer works. I've changed the batter and it still doesn't do anything. I'm currently doing some homework on keyfobs and trying to see if there's anything I can try before seeing if the garage would like any more of my money.

When they code the key fobs they set a code different to the last one just in case the
missing key is 'found' by a thief and your car shortly goes missing!

Hey,

Apparently I'm unable to strat a new thread, so I'll introduce myself in this one:
I'm Thijs, starting to do the maintenance on my mk2 Partner myself, and lurking aroud to get some Tips and Tricks.
