hi there i have just fitted a new heater matirx i put the dash back in started it up was fine i turned it back off and went to start back up after i plugged the heater wire back in and it wouldnt start only the oil light and air bag light showing on the clocks can any one help :brickwall:

I don't have a lot of experience with this car but I would bet on it being something to do with the BSI unit. I've a feeling you should have put everything back (including the heater wire) before you reconnected the battery and started the car.
Try asking Addo or Rustcrat, they seem to know what they're talking about.

This is a job I have to do myself very soon. How long did it take you to get the dash out, change the matrix and put the dash back? Any major problems other than the above?

I'd say you have a dead short! Either the motor is cooked or you have pinched/screwed through a power wire.

hi its not a big job there is three ten mil nuts on the ouside under where the window wiper moter is then its all the spline scews on the inside think there is water dammage because of the matix leaking problem still unsolved thanx
