Electric window - j90xxx - 18-05-2011

Is the "automatic" drivers window supposed to go up AND down on its own?
Mine goes down with one press, but up with press and hold.
Is this correct? Or is mine broke?

Mine has always done the same as yours. I thought it might be one press to go up and tried a few "fixes" but nothing worked.

Mine only ever does automatic on opening

I don't think any automatically close due to the fact that things can get trapped in them.

I'd be happy if I could persuade mine to auto down. How long is a long press? 1 sec? 2 secs? Until it's all the way down anyway?

just a quick prod and mine go down auto

if i hold it down it stops when i let go

hi ours work both ways

RE: Electric window - mike_g - 18-05-2011

My mk1 only goes down automatically, presumed that was how it was meant to be so you couldn't get your head trapped in it on the way back up :-o

Never thought of the safety aspect.Confusedcratch:

So it does it would seem, contrary to what it suggests in the handbook :-)
