Rear Door inner panel - Jody - 11-09-2013

Has anyone else experienced a problem with the inner panel on the rear door refusing to stay attached? The day I bought the Berlingo, the rear panel was hanging off, thinking, it must be the fixings were worn, I bought the same style of fixings (from ebay). When closing the rear door, the panel pops off. I have since tried, double sided fixing tape, (no luck), and even ran silicon around the circumference of the panel, in the hope it would hold the panel on to the door. After opening and closing the door several times, the panel is coming adrift again. Does anyone know what the length of the clips should be? I am curious, if the problem is, the clips are not long enough to locate home through the holes in the door.

Mines the same, I got around the problem by closing the door gently....

Mine had never been apart before I hooked into it. The OEM clips are VERY tight in the holes, coupled with thin, flat heads that tend to split in half upon removal.

It may be that you were sold clips to suit a smaller hole? Gauge the punched holes in the door shell by poking drill bits through until one doesn't go.
