clutch problem - daren - 28-09-2013 morning all, im a new boy, with a 52 plate multispace 1.9 d, can someone suggest please where to adjust the clutch cable as last night i couldnt select certain gears, no crunch or loss of pedal so believe/hope its a matter of adjustment: brickwall: RE: clutch problem - addo - 28-09-2013 My car is 2000 - not that much older - and has adjustment on the side of the pedal box. There's a shaft with bolt/nut the pedal pivots on, and further towards the motor another 13mm headed bolt. You slacken both and adjust the pedal position. lock it with the furthest bolt and then tighten the pivot shaft bolt again. That said, it may be the release bearing is wearing through your release fingers, or the fork bushes have called time. RE: clutch problem - daren - 28-09-2013 yes indeed, thanks just had a look and the long fork bush had literally come off, so i couldnt select reverse and fifth gear, ive taped it together and now works, new one needed, cheers RE: clutch problem - Jed Clampit - 28-09-2013 Hello Daren welcome to the forum |
