Problem with 2007 1.6 hdi - Phil at exult - 02-11-2013 Hi all got a Citroen berlingo in 1.6 hdi 2007 model it started but ran like a bag of hammers really loud diesel knock and wouldn't rev over 2k and was giving really black smoke out the exhaust The next day it wouldn't start I have checked the timing and put a new belt kit on I've put new injector seals in and recoded the injectors It won't run off easy start aswell turning the crank by hand it feels like it's got plenty of compression I've cleaned out the erg valve And snap on machine is only bringing up the code 1351 glow plugs When I test erg on machine it works but when I test diesel pump pressure and fuel rail pressure it carnt test cause if a module The e.c.u is unlocked and working with the bsi RE: Problem with 2007 1.6 hdi - ron - 02-11-2013 Blocked cat/exhaust? RE: Problem with 2007 1.6 hdi - Phil at exult - 02-11-2013 It could be will check Monday when back at work but it was smoking pritty bad so didn't think it would be blocked RE: Problem with 2007 1.6 hdi - ron - 02-11-2013 Backpressure from blocked exhaust = no air sucked in + fuel injecting merrily away = unburnt fuel =black stuff.alut: RE: Problem with 2007 1.6 hdi - Phil at exult - 06-11-2013 It's not the exhaust checked Not the rockers Had a new crank sensor New cam sensor New timing belt kit timing checked over New injector seals and tested Live data on fuel pump and that makes its pressure New diesel filter New air filter Cleaned and tested the erg valve Cleaned and tested the throttle bodie and surrounding sensors Turbo is fine Bottom end is good But it still won't start the pick up on the crank pully for the crank sensor is suspect there isn't nothing that would give off a pulse for tdc Does anyone have a pic |
