01 partner problems - Sub 1026 - 16-01-2014 Hi everyone
I've just bought a 01 partner van and with it a few problems, very slow to start ( new battery and starter plugs going in as I type). When it does start not a lot works only oil light on dash, no wipers, no radio, no heaters, no indicators however if I bring the revs up to 2200 all these start to work. Dash lights brighter brake/ door open oil battery light come on as normal and go off as normal. Can't figure out where to start looking for this problem. Any advice would be helpfully. :brickwall: It's a 01 partner with a straight diesel engine, think its a dw7 filter on top with4 screws and the air filter down near wheel Thanks for reading Brian RE: 01 partner problems - ron - 16-01-2014 Check battery & all earth connections are clean & tight.alut: RE: 01 partner problems - obdtech - 16-01-2014 Voltmeter on battery, start, watch reading when faults there, then see what happens @2200rpm? Might give you a clue? RE: 01 partner problems - Sub 1026 - 18-01-2014 Going to garage in the morning. Will check then. Someone mention it might be going in to limp mode possible due to the diesel back feeding to tank when left parked over night. Did anyone heard of anything like this before? RE: 01 partner problems - Ol'Jeffers - 18-01-2014 Limp mode wouldn't affect vehicle electrics unless battery connections are poor. I agree with Ron and obdtech. |
