Air in desiel - samthompson101 - 31-01-2014

Hello fellow Berlingo owners. My Dad recently purchased a Citroen Berlingo Multispace for £600. But knowing our luck something always goes wrong lol. For the past week every morning going out to school I've had to sit in the car for at least 15 minutes and rev the engine as it would stall and spit and wont idle. then yesterday morning the car would start then stop. so we called the AA and they came within a matter of mins and diagnosed the problem.....air in the diesel. this morning on our way out again it happened and we primed the engine ourselves with the button in the in the engine bay. It is very frustrating having this. Do any of you helpful people know what the problem is and how to solve it. Many thanks Sam

Hello Sam welcome to the forum have you checked the fuel line going in to the filter + the seal on the filter it self if it's not seated on the rubber seal it will let air in
