On full power open the vents one at a time and run through the control knob positions likewise to see if it dislodges something.

Timpsons did me a key from the old one in one of their shops. It's not a remote key but it opens and starts the car. Not cheap but t was easy.

I used some Renault exhaust bobbins (M6 thread) and nuts on the top to hold the cover on. They've lasted a few years now.

I helped a friend fit a new seat in his Renault Kangoo and just reconnected the wires with three separate bullet connectors and that worked. Can't see why the Berlingo would be different.
