PS Mike, I had to cut the ends off the fasterners with a stanley knife so they would fit, I also applied a small amount of sealant to ensure a tight fit.

Scubaboy, I think you are right, both the fasteners are missing so this would account for the noise. Whats the best remedy get new fasteners I suppose.??

Dave Ja Vu. I have a 1.9 D Multispace with terrible steering wobble around 65 mph, thought it was wheel balance probem but obviously not. !!

I had a similar prob when my lazy lout son knocked my mirror when passing down the drive on his mtn bike, a bit of gorilla tape did the trick. and a kick up the a**se also did the trick for him.

It could have been a lot worse by the sounds of it, it could have been the Mother in law. I do wish car manufacturers would make somewhere for a Mother in Law to be stored, neatly but not neccessarily...
