It doesn't work the other way; i.e take out in parents name and offspring is really the principal driver. Insurers will investigate in the event of a prang and it can invalidate.

Though I favour the split hinge; dependent on the layout a dowel on one piece mating with drill hole on a supporting leg works.

Thank you zmarties. I will try to get a few more clicks on the seat ratchet. I have now tried a small cushion to make up the difference in height which might be enough.

The tint is a film. I have tried a permanent marker but it is not dark enough. I might try a bit of black paint applied with a toothpick.

+1 for Duvalay. I put it on a cheap camping mattress mainly because I have few for hiking; not sure how needed that is with the Duvalay as it seems adequate on its own.
