Removing Back Seats in a Berlingo Mk2
#1
Hi, is there any way to remove the back seats (with off course the possibility of putting them back in) in a Berlingo Mk2? I had a look at the attachment/rotation points, but at first sight they unfortunately don't look like they are detachable ...

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Try the "Search Forums" as this has been discussed before
2005 Berlingo Multispace 1.6i Desire (Iron Grey)

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

yeah you can on the hinge where the seat folds forward there is two torx screws on each hinge you just remove them and seat comes out, be aware though they can be quite heavy . I am in the process of adapting the hinges so they can be removed quickly.

Did you ever make brackets to make it easy to take seats in and out?

Easiest way is to angle grind out the permanent bolts and replace with metal bolts So you can take the seats in and out easily.

How do you mean, i was looking at adapting the hinge and swapping it for a bolt with split pin of some kind so that when you release split pin bolt slides out and out comes the seat.

On the other hand its not that difficult to pop out the torx screws which are already in situ and only takes a few minutes.

Once removed are you left with a flat surface or rails etc sticking up ?
Thanks

Found a photo of what it looks like with seats folded forward - looks completely flat

That is an Mk3 XTR and those seats lift out.

On a Mk1/2 the seats do fold forwards to give a flat floor just like in the van.
