Tailgate bike carrier

Am thinking of buying a second hand Berlingo Multispace 2010 onwards to carry all our camping gear. Has anyone had experience of the official Citroen Tailgate Bike Carrier for 2 bikes ? Are there any problems associated with it ?
Not keen on the extra cost of fitting a towbar,as I've already got a Thule roof bike rack which would be probably unwieldy for the high Berlingo,but fine on a Skoda Octavia Estate or Roomster.

For the older Berlingo up to 2008 there was a tailgate bike carrier supplied by Citroen. There is no specific tailgate carrier available for current model from Citroen but a Fiamma carrier can be adapted. See it in this thread. http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/thread-260.html
