diesel leak injector
#1
Hello. i have noticed a pulsing HISSING sound near injector on the alternator side.
it is sweet down in the injector seat.  how can i figure out what is wrong? i suspect a blown gasket.
but not sure.

it is a tight spot. but if i spray brake cleaner down where the injector is to loosen the dirt. diesel and oil.
and use air compressor to blow out the residue.
could i spray soapy water down there. if its a gasket would it make bobles?

i had a leak on the injector pipes a year ago. on the same injector. so all the pipes is new.

Sounds like injector washers , happens when injectors come loose n carbon causes a lift , u need get them replaced and injector seat cleaned of all carbon , brake fluid over night good to soften carbon

If its a 1.6hdi its a common problem.

You could use washing up liquid mixed with water to find out where the leak is.

little diesel smell. but it is a black sirup(gunk) down at the bottom of the injector. i dont know how tight 4nm is. but the injector nut was loose. i could turn all of them 2 times before it startet to feel tight. then i tighten them with care. the sound is still there. but not as high sound.

It would be the best to remove injector and change the seal. Do it while you can, it is a nightmare to remove
if it is seized with carbon clog. The sound changed, hopefully injector can move inside, it is going to be easy job...
